Video Editing Webinars
Each session focuses on one specific technique: not a survey of tools, but a close look at how working editors solve actual problems on the timeline. Sessions run live with open Q&A, and recordings stay available afterward.
Upcoming Sessions
Sessions are scheduled in short blocks — under two hours each — so you can attend without clearing your day. All times listed in EST. Check the individual session for your local conversion.
Primary Correction Without Relying on Auto Tools
Working through exposure, white balance, and contrast using only scopes and manual nodes in DaVinci Resolve — no magic wand shortcuts.
Sync Problems in Multi-Camera Edits
Diagnosing and fixing drift, timecode gaps, and audio offset issues that appear in footage from mixed recording setups.
Colour Grading for Narrative Film
A longer session working through a short film from primary correction to final look delivery. Covers node structure, power windows, and preparing for both web and broadcast output. Participants get the original footage to follow along.
Typography in Motion — Timing Basics
How to pace animated text so it reads cleanly on screen. Covers easing, hold frames, and the relationship between cut rhythm and title movement.
Organising a Project for a Long-Form Edit
Bin structure, proxy workflows, and naming conventions that hold up across a full documentary or series edit rather than just a short clip.
- 1 Colour correction with scopes — reading waveform, parade, and vectorscope without guessing at the result
- 2 Pacing and rhythm — how to identify when a cut is too early or too late by listening to the edit, not just watching it
- 3 Audio cleanup — noise reduction, room tone, and dialogue repair without over-processing
- 4 Export settings — codec decisions, container formats, and delivery specs for different distribution channels
- 5 Visual effects integration — how to track, stabilise, and match grain so VFX shots sit naturally in the cut
- 6 Multi-camera editing — syncing sources, switching angles, and maintaining audio consistency across a live performance edit
How Attendance Works
Registration opens about two weeks before each session. Spots are kept small — under 40 participants — so the Q&A portion is actual dialogue rather than a scrolling chat nobody reads.
Recordings are posted within 48 hours and remain accessible. If a session date does not work, you can still register and watch it on your schedule. Founded in 2024, Bonufecal has run sessions across multiple time zones without region-locking content.
